I've always thought the term "lifestyle blog" sounds a bit narcissistic. It's as if someone puts effort into every part of their day in order for it to slot together nicely in a filtered and cool online presence... although maybe some people naturally lead cool existences worth documenting. (not me)
I don't really feel like my day to day life is particularly intriguing... does anyone? However, lately i've been trying out a lot of new health food recipes that have opened my eyes to a whole new world of easy cooking. Yes, you heard that correctly. Easy! I didn't know it was possible, I seem to have been cursed in the kitchen for the last 19 years but food bloggers have cured me.
This new hobby alone didn't seem enough to warrant a blog but then the general election came around. I know, slight topic change. I had never realised how difficult it is to hold your tongue on social media. So much controversy everywhere I looked. I wanted some kind of outlet to discuss my opinions minus the threat of destroying cross-political friendships.
I allllllllllso recently was given a Pentax 1980 analogue camera. Thus opening yet another hobby. (sidenote: isn't it great to get new hobbies during exam season? just great.) So I wanted a place to write about these things but couldn't exactly come up with a theme to link all three topics apart from... me.
And then I thought... "oh riiiiight, is that why people have lifestyle blogs?" They just have a lot to talk about. Sometimes it's hard to hold back!
So there it is, the dreaded introduction is complete. Basically I plan on blogging about everything. In my life. On my ... lifestyle blog. *boke*
